Sources of Inspiration

I'm always being asked where I get my inspiration for my designs and like most people's answers, EVERYWHERE! I recently bought this gorgeous set of sheets and duvet cover for my bed, don't you just love all the typography? Then it hit me... why not include something similar for my Holiday 2009 line?

Here is the result.
Reindeer Role Call

No surprise how I came up with this design, first documented here. If you're like me and are constantly at battle with these cute and pesky critters, see below. Documented evidence taken through my window and blinds.

I see they've finally hung a noose for me?
(actually it's leftover from my son's hanging pinecone birdfeeder)

Time to make my move, better hurry...

Uh Oh! I think they saw me...

Coast is Clear! Boy these flowers are even tastier than the last time!

Stickyfingers - Pinecone Edition

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you had a fun time trick-or-treating and stayed out of trouble. Pinecones and leaves are all over our yards now, so I thought it would be fun to round up some crafty tutorials using these free, little prickly pieces of nature. As always... I aspire to inspire so go and make something!

Thank you V and Co. for this quick and simple, stylish pinecone wreath project.

An issue of Stickyfingers wouldn't be complete without something from the Queen. Click here to learn how to make this lovely Pinecone frame.

Halloween Cupcakes with my Critter

Last weekend my little Critter and I had a great time making some Halloween cupcakes to help ring in the spooky holiday. Here's how it all went down...

Started out with our favorite Gluten Free mix from Pamela's.
Because "daddy is allergic to flowers."

I like this whole cupcake baking thing...

While the cupcakes are baking, I'm placing my order, I want 2, no 3 ...

I just want to smell the sprinkles, not eat or touch them yet...

getting a little closer...

they even feel like "ghostes"...

heck with touching...

are they done yet?...

what do you mean, I still have to wait?...

Now this is what I'm talking about!

Happy Halloween!
